doug
Why do the other halves have to go overboard. 'Erself has been on about getting a decorator in to "do a couple of rooms". He's coming on Monday - the count is now 6 rooms. It started with the combined Breakfast room and kitchen - Im counting those as 2. Then, of course the utility room, that makes it 3. We might as well use the same colour scheme throughout - should have seen what was coming. The lounge looks tatty so we'll do that as well - to 4 now. Oh Susan will run up the curtains as she's well into the sewing classes now and we really must change the blinds as well! Your study is a disgrace reeks of that rotten pipe of yours - now up to 5. This morning she says "he will be painting the downstairs loo as well - I make that now 6 hopefully in total but early days he doesn't come 'till 8am Monday, and there's me struggling with lower back problems at the mo.Getting the bloke in means you wont strain your back. It's been giving me real problems. Forgot how much bending and stretching I would have to do, shifting furniture, taking down light fittings etc. The heartach will be dismantling and storing the PC, not sure how I can wrangle some sneaky surfing but will try. If you see me logged on next week you cam say He's getting away with it but if things go against me he will want to do all the ceilings one after the other to minimise brush and roller cleaning.Keep me in your thoughts and pray she's not insisting on garden digging. Oh God hope she doesn't even think about upstairs!

Oh God hope she doesn't even think about upstairs! I use a mallet on the cranium Doug. She nods off for a few minutes then says she must have dosed off. Then at the end of the day she complains about having a bit of a headache. That is the hardest part for me, it takes me all my time not to laugh. But the whole exercise does keep her quiet and she forgets about what it was she started in the first place.
