arazaamelia
Since installing the new java platform , I've been getting registry errors when running websites in Firefox. Does anyone recommend a good free (or at least cheap!) registry cleaner for Windows 7 Home ?
Digerati
Registry cleaners should not be used to "fix" a broken registry - despite what the cleaner makers may claim. How do you know you have Registry errors? What is the exact message you are getting.
bludgard
If you want to fiddle with the registry in Win 7,I would suggest that you do a lot of research until you feel comfortable enough that you do not have to ask this question. If you have a specific issue dealing with your machines' registry, post it and we'll see what assist can be offered. If you move ahead with "optimizing","repairing" or "cleanig" the registry,I would hope that you are creating full back-ups of your Widows C: drive and have an install .ISO in anticipation of additional problems.Welcome to Windows Forum, arazaamelia.:)

MANEMAN
Aye ! Aye ! Cap'n Bludgard. Keep the rudder straight and true me deario.John. - Lead Engineer and nano technologist at Buckingham Palace.Never had a minutes trouble with the registry when I ran DOS. Darn fools went one step too far in my opinion. Download my free booklet on Nano's and Yet-Yets very soon.
MANEMAN
You are not being mocked.Bludgard has constantly mocked me since I mentioned in one particular post "Our crack technical team"Since then the jollity has passed back-and -forth. Many forums are failing because of over staid behaviour.Technical does not equal miserable. To have a bit of banter (Overseen of course by the moderators) is fairly harmless. - some would say childish. :P Humour always oils the wheels. Bludgard became Cap'n Bludgard the notorious pirate. I became a Nano technologist. And you can become a lead engineer upon Bludgards ship if you so please. All harmless stuff Archeon. Read a few back posts and you will see this tomfoolery existed well before you arrived. (The Yet-Yets in particular.)We can be extremely sensible at times..=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.We have digressed. Registry cleaners are not a good idea.John. AlanHo
Why do I get the feeling I am being mocked? This is a lively forum (or was anyway) where help, humour, debate and pathos are featured.No-one gets unkindly mocked here - but some of us are prone to friendly English banter. Stick with it - I am sure you can give as much as you can get. We are a friendly lot really.Maneman is prone to telling what we call porkies - he is not really a lead engineer at the palace - just a junior engineer there.........
