The present costs will only slow down the economy as the costs to industry and distribution rise further and further. I had no love of the last government, but this lot really do have to bring this under control. We are asked to use public transport more. We would love to do this, but it is practically non exist and round here. What buses there are are lousy in the extreme. By the time you arrive you have been shaken to bits. If we go to nearby Lichfield on the bus, we have to return at 2-15 pm, so what is the use of trying to have a few hours there and some lunch? I had no love of the last government, but this lot really do have to bring this under control.The last government brought in next months planned fuel duty rise along with many others over the last 13 years but at least the last government put on hold planned fuel duty rises when there was an outcry from angry motorists.Lets see if the coalition government will do the same.Also the coalition government made things worse by increasing VAT to 20% 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
