I'm gonna cut across your bows today. And no I dont care if you have burnt pieces of you anatomy that haven't seen the sun for years Mr. Ho. :P

I've got the same blackbird singing outside of the window here that we have had for the last two years. He has indentifying marks, (Sorta strange for a blackbird) so we know for sure that it is the same guy. The song is absolutely beautiful. Spring is arriving. The daffodils in Cornwall are to an extreme this year. Maybe something to do with the unusually heavy frosts that we experienced. The clocks going forward one hour has made life a lot more pleasurable for someone like me who is a late riser.

Cornwall.

I have spent more of my life here, than anywhere else on earth, and I wouldn't change that situation even if I had the chance. 10 minutes and I can be standing at the seashore. 15 minutes, and I can be in deep forest. 5 minutes, and I can be looking out across a landscape of the old tin mines, - now unused, but standing like proud monuments to the past.

I have promised andsome that I will post up a few things about Cornwall.

I am gathering some photos, but as usual commitments in the "Cornish World of Music" are holding me back a bit.

The best I can offer at present is a link to:

Have a look through, there are some good pictures there.

Apart from that of course you missed the sound of the blackbird outside of my window, but you would have to possess a ruddy good hearing range from Stafford to Cornwall.

We said it last Sunday. We lost six games to two and by thirty five shots. I lost 21-16. On Tuesday we did better in a cup match, and out of the five playing the home leg we won four. I won 21-16. We lost the match however by twenty five shots, because the lot who played away lost four out of five games.

For the last two years we have had a disinctive black bird in our garden, he has one pure white tail feather.

We live a few minutes away from Cannock Chase, it is denoted as an area of outstanding beauty. It is unusual in that as as well as having native deer, it also has a herd of tiny deer no bigger than dogs. They were brought in many years ago from Asia.

Muntjac Deer (Muntiacus reevsi)

This species was introduced to Britain by the Duke of Bedford, who housed them on his estate at Woburn Park in Bedfordshire. Many deer from this original herd escaped into the surrounding countryside in 1900, and the first Muntjac were subsequently recorded on the Chase in 1962; also at Teddesley in 1963. They prefer well-wooded habitats with dense undergrowth, and are frequently found in young forestry plantations, also in thickets of gorse or bramble. The male bucks have short antlers around 3" (75mm) long, and enlarged canine teeth about 1½" (40mm) in length, giving them a somewhat fearsome appearance, in spite of which, they are the smallest deer species found in Europe, standing only 18" (46cm) at the shoulder and weighing in at only 33lb (15kg) fully-grown. They are found only in small family groups consisting perhaps of a male buck, female doe, a young fawn and a juvenile; the young are born throughout the year. The distinctive shiny-black, teardrop-shaped droppings are used as territorial markers. The deer are chestnut-brown in the summer changing to a duller grey during the winter months, at all times sporting a white "flash" on its rump, the young fawns are also distinguished by spots running in lines along the back and flanks.
