Problem Copying to CD

Dear Friends,

When I try to write files from my PC to CD I get the following message (( Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this folder. What do you want windows to do?))

I clicked on "retry" but didn't work and when I click "skip" didn't work too.

My computer: Microsoft Windows XP

Are you using the CD writing software included as part of XP?

I never managed to get that to work successfully and reverted to using an independent program (Nero) and have continued to do so ever since.

it might simply be that you have a duff batch of cd's - this happened to a friend of ours a month back.

I've had that both with duff CD's and duff DVD's. Recently produce a whole load of DVD's for family and friends. Got fed up with producing toasters so I do my first burn with RW DVD's check those the copy to DVD's. Might be worth considering at least with RW's you don't waste discs when trialling something.

I do the same with .ISOs.
