Guest lb
The trial of two high profile alleged child killers has been adjourned for a month due to undisclosed reasons.Assuming that these alleged killers are guilty, what would be an appropriate punishment...excluding being put to death? Guest nellie2
Hmmm well excluding surgical proceedures............ It would have to be solitary for the rest of thier lives or........ just each others company. Or give them something to get fond of then take it away!!!.... Guest Shirley_Crabtree
Just make them share a cell with Charles Bronson...He'd make mincemeat of them.
doug
Just tie a millstone round their neck and push them off the bridge. If they can still swim return a verdict of charge not proven.

andsome
IF and WHEN they are found guilty, imprisonment for life, with hard labour and no privileges like TV etc.
monkeyhanger
Shirl's idea is a good one. Stick them in with Mr. Bronson on Friday night and give all the warders the weekend off. You could then scrape out and hose down the cell on monday morning.Hangings to good for them. ;)

Guest lb
personally i think that removal of liberty should be exactly that. They should be locked in a 7' x 4' cell for 24 hours a day. There should be one small light bulb, no window and they should be fed dry nutritional supplements to keep them alive. They should not have clothing, no form of entertainment, no human contact and no dignity.Punishment should mean punishment...not this namby pamby so called justice system that we have today.Charles Bronson - for info click here.>The British Bronson looks just as evil as the American Manson !!<

andsome
Has anyone here visited Alcatraz? Now that was truly a prison to beat all prisons, exactly what violent criminals need. If you ever visit San Francisco, take the trip to the island and have the audio taped tour, you go round at your own pace, switching the tape on and off as required. It is a very educational visit. Tankus
GuardianThe man accused of murdering Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman cut their clothes off their bodies as they lay in a remote ditch, and later burned them, his lawyer admitted today. Ian Huntley took the clothes back to Soham Village College, where he worked as a caretaker, and set them on fire, his Old Bailey murder trial was today told.If his defence is stating this ...........Yet he has pleaded not guilty to the murders...... djohn
Tankus, This has me puzzled as well.I've been following most of the transcript and his legal team appear to be admitting everything, but pleading "Not guilty".I can't think how they are going to defend him, and what reasons they will put forward!
Guest Grim Reaper
what bugs me is that there is someone who will defend him....as djohn says, he admits they died in his house, he admits cutting the clothes off them but he didnt kill them....so who the hell did......and why are his lawyers (who are only doing their job) actually saying "he didnt do it"????
Tankus
I suppose the trail is due to the fact that he has pleaded not guilty at the start , but its almost as if he has told his defence lawyers that he has done it at a later date and they are just going thought the motions ...... ?Makes it easy for the jury , I guess ....! Tankus
All the judge has to do now is give the timeBBCHolly Wells died after accidentally falling into Ian Huntley's bath, his lawyer told the Old Bailey Soham trial.
