You also should change your processor for speed up your pc and have to change your ram.

Hell yes! but here are few things you need to know before adding more ram:

1. Windows xp can run normally in below 1 GB of ram and not below than 300 MB.

2. Windows 7 need to use at least 1 GB of ram and more for optimal use especially if you are PC Gamers

3.Windows XP, does not have any 32 bit or 64 bit, so the use of ram can be installed as many as you want, as you have your money to buy the ram

4.Windows 7 have 32 bit and 64 bit version. Every version had different atmosphere even it is still the same windows 7.

5.Windows 7 that runs on 32 bit only can support until 4GB of ram (MAXIMUM)

6.Windows 7 runs on 64 bit can run more than 4 GB of ram, but run crappy if less than 4 GB of ram.

............So, what is your windows version and what type of bit they are...??

Incorrect - there are both 32bit and 64 bit versions of XP

Windows XP Professional x64 Edition - http://en.wikipedia....nal_x64_Edition can in theory address 128GB of RAM.

Other versions of XP however can in practice only address 3.5 GB

in my poit of view, may followings reasons remain system slow.

Not enough hard drive space.

Left over programs and bad files.

Data Corruption.

Missing Windows updates or outdated drivers.

Computer is overheating.

Corrupt OS.

Bad Hardware.

Unnecessary Startup Programs Running in the Background.

Hard Disk Fragmented & in Need of Being Defragmented.

Hard Disk Errors May Be Corrected with "Check Disk".

Hard Disk Needing "Clean Up".

Adware & Spyware.

Windows Registry Issues.

Viruses.

Anti-Virus Security Programs.

Your PC May Need More RAM.
