PC to iPad

Having treated herself to an iPad I was wondering what sort of gizmo I need to get so I can show her photos stored on my PC, could never get her to come and see them. I thought I could copy them onto a USB pen and plug it into the iPad. Now 3 questions:-

1. does this make sense

2. what sort of gizmo to I get? a USB socket to socket lead?

3. will the iPad read the file formats or would I have to convert them from jpeg to something else?

I'll bait my breath and await replies.

Hi Doug.

Yep ! I'm afraid it is never as easy as just a lead with Apple or Sony products. :(

You've always got to get something else, - they like to tie you up into many knots if they can.

There are ways around it all though.

You could always email the pictures to the iPad of course, or upload the pictures to a host like photobucket and let her download them herself.

Read the links below for more ideas: (First link, - fooling the iPad into thinking a USB stick is a camera is the cheapest if you dont go the internet way.)

The easy way is to set up an email address on your Ipad, put your pictures on an email as an attachment from your current computer and send it to your new email address on the Ipad.

Best of all, this is free!!
