I enjoy various themes (it all depends on my mood when looking for a book):Saga-type collections.Historical novels based on fact - I particularly like the Tudor period.The usual chick-lit. I've not actually read any of her books, but I have read Jean Plaidy and Philippa Gregory. One of my favourites is Diana Gabaldon. I thoroughly enjoyed her Outlander series. Many years ago I was completely absorbed in The Jalna Series by Mazo De La Roche. One of the chick-lit authors I like is Tasmina Perry.
