Morning everyone,

An odd state of affairs over the past couple of days. The host migrated the server we are hosted on from one data centre to another, they advised the move was going to take place "at some point over the next week", and that was it. No further communication was received, and the first knowledge of the work being completed was when they pulled the plug on the old server and we couldnt get to the forum. At this state it transpired the migration was completed several days prior, and we had been running from the old server, this lead to several days of lost content.

The host performed a backup and restore proceedure of the SQL database to get the content up-to-date and I changed the DNS entries.

That all went according to plan until the domain registrar had a technical issue with name server entries. 4 of 5 name servers were reporting the correct IP, however 1 of them failed, so 1 in 5 request would have resulted in the forum appearing offline for up to 20 minutes at a time.

Anyway, as of now, everything is fixed!
