AlanHo
I am having problems with the forum when using Win 8.1 and IE11. When I start a new topic it is not possible to paste text into the text window and the menu bar containing font, colour, smilies etc is greyed out. It is also not possible to add images or attachments. I can get it to work with Firefox which I would prefer not to use. (This is being posted via Firefox) If this is a compatibility issue with IE11 - I imagine it will only get worse when Win 10 comes along. Any clues? Belatucadrus
Looks like one, I tested Chrome and Firefox and both work OK, fired up IE11 and replicated the Paste problem, my Menu bar however is fine and I seem to be OK with the other functions. Irene
I understand from Craig that Invision will release the next major version of software this year - although he didn't specify exactly when, other than 'this year'. Hopefully that will resolve various issues which we have all been experiencing. In the meantime, I'll make him aware of the problems you are having, to see if he can rectify any of them with our current version.
Irene
Alan, I wonder if it help with the IE11 problem if you used compatibility mode?
D4\/!d
I use FF. I frequently cannot post. It is so frustrating. Sometimes it works without problem. Other times it refuses to post. To be honest if it doesn't post first time I've just given up trying. It is not worth the stress.
AlanHo
Compatibility mode does not help and like D4\/!d it sometimes fails to post. So I try again with Firefox to get a result.
Craig
Afternoon, It is indeed a compatibility issue with IE11, hopefully something that is resolved with the next revision of the forum software that should be released shortly. The bug itself may only require a small code change... but it's beyond me!
