andsome
What an absolute waste of money in Leicester. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-le ... e-31990721. It's just a pile of old bones. When we are dead we are dead, why on earth has all this money been wasted. Thousands are said to have lined the streets for hours on end to watch the coffin go by, what a sad bunch of people. According to the lunch time news, people have been queuing for up to 4 hours just to gawp at a box containing centuries old bones, just how sad can people get? Belatucadrus
Almost as sad as the people who listen to that guy Mahler, I mean the dudes been dead for centuries and there's no decent guitar solos in any of it, what a crock ! Some people are beyond saving. PS as to the money being wasted, Royal corpses in Cathedrals has long been a valued source of income. Largely because those thousands of contemptible people who could otherwise have spent the day polishing their arses with a settee will spend money in Leicester and particularly in the cathedral. It's what those in the know financially refer to as an investment.
Belatucadrus
"Gawp at a box" - how do we know what, if anything, is in there? Because we by and large trust the people of Leicester University who carried out the exhumation, did the DNA tests then passed the remains to the church. Despite being constantly monitored by experts who were convinced they were wrong. On the other hand you may also be convinced that the Moon landings were faked, the CIA blew up the world trade centre and Elvis is alive and well working at a chippie in Bognor. catgate
"...why on earth has all this money been wasted." It has not been wasted. It has gone to line many pockets, as usually happens with all these greatly blown up "events".
