Belatucadrus
Acronis True Image Backup is a useful tool to backup a hard drive and could be a useful safgeguard before ugrading to Windows 10. Acronis are definitely pushing it at the moment, but it's not Microsoft and it's not free, so I'm unsure as to why this notification has appeared. If you already have it then it may be an attempt to sell you an upgrade.
johnoo
Thanks, I have Acronis installed, it's a free version that can be installed if the Disc Drive on computer is made by "Western Digital"Does anybody else know anything about this "TIB Mounter"? Belatucadrus
Looks like it's an update but some people may have had problems with it. Click Here
Boris
Read Posts 4 and 5 here :-http://forum.micromart.co.uk/Topic529399.aspxI doubt that the free Western Digital/Seagate Acronis versions will work correctly with Windows 10 ?See :- https://kb.acronis.com/content/56196Acronis are referring to v15 for support on Windows 10, but the free Western Digital/Seagate Acronis are only v13 :(
johnoo
1 On what's been said to date, I don't think I will install, seems too much of a risk. 2 Regarding the Acronis WD version not supporting Windows 10:-a Perhaps that's a reason not to install Windows 10b Perhaps Acronis will issue an updated WD version
Boris
Perhaps Acronis will issue an updated WD version It is more a case of Seagate/Western Digital coughing up $$$$$ to Acronis to get their hardware supported by a cut-down version of Acronis 15.
