Windows 10 and Internet Explorer

I am having to use a different browser for various websites.

For this forum I use Firefox because IE11 has given me problems with inserting smilies and cutting and pasting text.(I just realised that I am using EDGE as I type and it appears to be OK - strange).

For the BBC news I have until now used IE11 which worked perfectly but since loading EDGE some links using Flash do not work properly.

For general browsing I now use EDGE as a first resort because it is so fast. But when hitting a Flash problem I try IE11 or Firefox.

I have noticed that since installing Win 10, Internet Explorer takes much longer to load sites and is sometimes freezing. It's as if Microsoft have tweaked something to frustrate you enough into changing over to EDGE.

As an experiment I just timed how long it took to open this forum using IE11, Firefox and EDGE. IE took 7 seconds, Firefox took 4 seconds and EDGE took less than 2 seconds.

Has anyone else noticed this - or am I seeing things.............. :paperbag1:

I too am having problems with WF - using Firefox in Windows 10 - the formatting icons are not showing (if I run the mouse pointer over 'them', it simply shows a grey box!

Grrr!! Whose idea was this Windows 10 lark?

I could write a book on the problems experienced with my Samsung N220 Netbook!

It took me down to the point of using Recovery Solution 4, which returns the netbook to the point at which it left the factory!

I have just tried to enter another smilie and typing has returned to left to right. This is weird.

Sure is! See below - no formatting bar present!

However, I think Craig is already on the case. Hopefully something will materialise in the near future. ;)

Edit: BTW, I am using Firefox on Windows 10 (Packard Bell All-in-One Desktop) at the moment.
