iPad and Windows Forum...

Can anyone tell me why, when I use my iPad to access Windows Forum, none of the formatting bars and smileys are showing?

Maybe there is an option needing a check/uncheck?

It has been bugging me for quite some time, so if you can help me to resolve this issue, I would be very grateful.

That's easy it's because iPads are horrible, just look at what one did to poor Andsomes face !

PS I have to admit that my anti iAnything stance is probably more rooted in the fact that I'm a cheapskate rather than any failings in the hardware.

PPS try scrolling down to the bottom of the page if as I suspect your seeing the Mobile version of the web page there should be a blue button at the bottom of the page that says "Full version" click on it and all should return to a familiar format.

The Rich Text Editor (RTE) is disabled on iPad as it's not support by IPB on mobile devices (for the version of the forum software we are currently using). However it is supported on version 4 of IPB which is currently undergoing testing.

I too use the full version on I pad. How dare you insult my up to date avatar. I am as gorgeous as ever, even though I am a year or two older.

I can use smilies on other forums with my I pad, so what is the answer to that?

That was what I couldn't understand, andsome. Seems the absence of RTE is the culprit.

Lets hope we gravitate onto V4 of IPB, if the tests are satisfactory. ;)
