Chris
What connection do you have to the internet, 56K, ADSL/cable?
Guest
also depends on what kind of files you download i.e what size on average.
christmascracker
I'm on ADSL, watch quite a bit of streaming video, play games etc. I dont download a lot really, saying that, I did download the new Lord of the Rings trailer recently which was 26meg -very good too may I add
Chris
As your on ADSL set size can be kept small. No real need for IE to look in the Temp folder for cached pages. The speed of the ADSL will give you the pges just the same if it getting them from the folder.I have mine set to 5MB.Downloaded files actually get put in the %temp% folder. Streaming video is just that, STREAMED to you, nothing is saved.

mark2
Over at the pit they recommend between 5mb and 80mbRunning my system with temp internet files going to my ram drive of 30mb no probs. When this system 1st set up , in excess of 200mb , soon cut that down to 60mb, then set up the ram drive.
