CPU Running Temperature Intel Core i3 3220

Don't know why I do it, but I use "Speccy" monthly & note running temperatures.

Generaly the CPU Temperature is 25/28 C.

Today it was recorded as 39C

Is this within normal range or have I a problem coming?

Depends on what CPU you have, but this guide sheet seems to indicate you're still in the acceptable range for an idling PC, not yet into the normal working temperature range.

So no cause to worry as yet, but it may be worth giving it a spring clean with an air duster to ensure all the air ducts and cooling fins are dust free.

The type is a Intel core i3 3220 "Ivy Bridge"

Looking at the guide sheet Idle Temp is 28/35, Normal 50/60C Max 65C

So as you OK, but I will keep watch & vacuum out the dust

Most, if not all, CPUs nowaday have a built-in non-selfdestruct mechanism where the device will shut down before it reaches dangerously high temperatures.

my computer is always hot , i didn't know you could check or that temperature,  i am new to this.

To check the temperature try Speedfan. As to your computer being hot, how hot, what type of computer and where is it being used.

It is totally normal.

Ideal temperature 50 to 75 degrees. higher it goes will slow the CPU down until it will finally stop, gradually lowering the clock speed.

 

For you its 39 which is completely fine. No need to worry unless you see hikes upto 80 degrees or 100 degrees

my cpu is alway a range of 50, but there isn't any issue

i play game on i5 and i have ranges 50-80 when playing 😄  i get 60-70 when editing videos, what you have is below normal i think.

That's totally fine and normal. Normal temp while gaming is between 60-75 degreeC.Temperature of CPU is striking high depending on what software you're using.

I recommend a temperature range of 50 to 75 degrees. If you increase it, the CPU will slow down until it eventually stops, gradually lowering the clock speed.In your case, it is 39, which is perfectly acceptable. In general, you should not be concerned unless there is a rise in temperature of 80 degrees or 100 degrees.

o what is the Maximum operating temperature (Tmax)? It's the highest temp at which a CPU or GPU can operate at full capacity. But fear not, if you're CPU or GPU reaches this temperature it will not burst into flames.

Modern processors and video cards have overheating safety measures that prevents them to damage. Usually when the maximum operating temperature is reached the CPU or GPU will underclock itself to reduce it's core temperature. This will result in massive FPS drops in video games, for a few seconds.

Reaching the maximum temperature for extended periods of times will eventual damage your processor or graphic card, so focus on finding the overheating source problem.
