-pops-
Not for me, I'm afraid. Apples should be kept well away from soup. Blue cheese even further. I absolutely detest cooked blue cheese. I am a great fan of almost all blue cheeses but in their natural state. Any hint of them having been near a cooking appliance is a total no-no. Now, with non-blue cheeses, that is totally different. I enjoy most, even to the extent of having Cheddar cheese cooked with apples in a pie. Has to be real Cheddar though, not this plastic muck sold in rectangular blocks in most stores. Have a look at this https://www.finecheese.co.uk/

-pops-
I was extra put off apples and blue cheese in soups some years ago when my local hostelry served apple and stilton soup - the two soup horrors in the same bowl. It looked and smelled like it had already been eaten and regurgitated.
andsome
Sounds good to me except fror the part about freezing. We are greedy when it comes to home made soup. Eight portions is four each, we would get through that in two days.
