He died in 1976, having become a mentally ill recluse. Howard Hughes (Belatucadrus)16. Born on Christmas Eve 1971 in Puerto Rico, he has become an international superstar who has sold more than 15 million records worldwide. He recently turned down a chance to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in a film remake of West Side Story, on the grounds that the movie helps perpetuate Puerto Rican stereotypes. Ricky Martin (-pops-)17. Born on Christmas Eve 1961, she has become one of the most popular and highly paid presenters on television, best known as the face of numerous science and education programmes, as well as a daily appearance on daytime television. She was awarded the MBE for Services to Broadcasting in the New Year's Honours List 2001. Carol Vorderman (Belatucadrus)18. Born on December 26th 1893, became leader of the most populated country in the world. Famous for his quotations, many of which are contained in a little red book. Mao Tse Tung (Belatucadrus)19. Born in London, December 26, 1791, he showed considerable talent in mathematics early in his life. He became interested in Astronomy and the equipment used to study the heavens, which appears to be the time when he got the idea for a mechanical calculation device. This led to him being credited with the invention of the calculation process of the modern computer. Charles Babbage (-pops-)20. Born on Boxing Day 1941, this American musician and producer created his own mark, called the "Wall of Sound". He wrote "River Deep, Mountain High", which he always considered among his greatest achievements. He became one of rock's most legendary recluses, rarely appearing in public, and has recently been charged with murder in America.
