When I was a child there was a farm opposite our house and I was a frequent visitor, just to be among the animals. They had two shire horses. One was a mare and the other had been a stallion for a fairly short period. The ex stallion was called "Prince" and the mare was called "Chosen". (for what I never found out.) They were both extremely friendly, and if grazing out in the field they were not above wandering over to a passing walker to seek a titbit. From here I can see two that have not been bit.
