AlanHo Posted October 4, 2018 Report Share Posted October 4, 2018 When we left home for our Portugal holiday it was summer – 10 days later and we have returned to it being autumn with heavy leaf fall from the trees in our retirement estate - and the full glory of autumn colours. This is one corner of our garden this morning showing an acer wearing its autumn coat and some roses having a second and late bloom of flowers having enjoyed a splendid hot and dry summer. I'm not allowed to use our Dyson stick Vac - I use an old Electrolux upright Vac an old friend was about to chuck away. It's built like a tank, has a rotary carpet brush, on old fashioned fabric dust collection bag and more suck than a..............erm??? I walk up and down in adjacent rows to produce a natural striped effect with the pile being brushed in opposite directions. It needs doing again - it hasn't been striped for 4 months.
