moon Posted November 22, 2003 Author Report Share Posted November 22, 2003 Well, in the boot screen there was an F3 key option to halt and set up RAID. ( You've got to be bloody quick, aincha ?) The first option was 'Create Mirrored set' which I selected. Now, the boot screen shows a mirrored set ( my two Seagates) but I can't find anything in the BIOS setup or manual with a 'boot from RAID' option. moon Posted November 22, 2003 Author Report Share Posted November 22, 2003 OK, in the BIOS the SATA/RAID/SCSI Boot Order is greyed out. The manual says its available when Boot device is set to SCSI. In the Advanced Menu (F2 :) ) I can scroll until SCSI is top of the list BUT I can't find a way to select it. 'Enter' does nowt and leaving it at the top and pressing 'Esc' just reverts the list to Floppy at the top. How is it selected ? There's naff all in the manual. I'm set to boot from SATA . Firstly, I don't have anything connected to 'System Fan'. The case has three internal fans which are independent of the mobo. I've set 'System Fan' to 'Disabled' and activated the fans warning. Correct ? PS. Thanks for the help last night chaps. Can I use the mobo 'Sys fan' connection to run another fan for the graphics card ?Also, the BIOS reports the cpu temp. as 50. This rises to 55 after about a half hour. Is this normal ?
