andsome Posted February 5, 2004 Report Share Posted February 5, 2004 Very nice, but don't take offence at a wee suggestion. Can you edit it and make a bit more contrast, with the darker area's a little darker?Abit like this....... That is IT, really good now. There is a tendency in very low light conditions for the meter in the camera to allow a little too much exposure. It's always better to under expose by half to one stop in low light. Better still to do the same shot three times at different exposures. Like wise, on bright scenes like beaches or snow, the meter will under expose, giving a washed out look. Better to slightly over expose a little on the meter reading. Better still, point the camera directly at the important part of the picture, and partly depress the shutter button before recomposing the picture. On most camera's this will lock the exposure to the reading of the exposure of the important bit, if you see what I mean. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

andsome Posted February 6, 2004 Report Share Posted February 6, 2004 My current camera is an Olympus Camedia C3020 Zoom. 'Er indoors bought it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago. I have also owned various SLR's in the past, an old second hand Praktica, a Canon AE1 Program, and a Canon EOS 1. I was trained during my national service as Photographer RS. I was responsible for mounting air camera's into planes, first line servicing of air camera's, and processing and printing air film. I later took a further trade test for Photographer GS, and did ground work, such as photographing accidents to cars belonging to the camp, damaged aircraft components, and Officers identity photo's for the C O's board. In short anything that they wanted pictures of. My scariest moment was when I was taken to an army ammunition dump, and had to take several photo's of sticks of gelignite which were sweating and had reached the critical stage.
