Mailwasher

Recommended Posts

I don't get the above problem, but now and then I get a problem which can occur for a period of anything from one event, to anything up to a couple of hours. I get a window which tells me that the server disconnected, or something similar. There can be a dozen or more such windows on the screen if I have left the computer for a while. Usually then, when I click on check mail, it does so but takes it's time doing it. It then runs OK. Generally it is a well behaved program, this just occurs now and then.

Just an idea. Before you run Mailwasher just check to see which other applications are running in the background. I've never had any trouble with it other than it seizing up when my account was spammed. When that happens I have to try to access my account via webmail in order to clear it. Never throws up an error message though.

Same here, doesn't happen very often though (tempting fate there)

When this minor problem occurs, the computer is usually just idling with INTERNET connections not active. It usually happens when I've just left the computer running.

Win98SE - I ran it happily on that O/s for 6 months - no problem.

What version are you using ?

The free one ? or MailWasher Pro 3.4 ?

I may still have a copy of the last Beta version (before it stopped being free) - if anyone wants one ?

Unlike the current Mailwasher Free, that version was for Hotmail and unlimited POP accounts and was fully sorted !

If you take advantage of Boris's offer as I did, it will pay you to do as I did. I uninstalled the old one then ran a deep search with Reg supreme. It found and deleted the old register keys. That way I think you will get a cleaner installation and less potential trouble in the future.
