Guest Blink_182_fan Posted March 24, 2004 Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 Last night at 10:OOpm a set of three shops ,near a petrol station just down the road from were i live, were set on fire. The blaze that stared in the bins behind them hit a gas line making the blaze bigger which burnt all the three shops down and now they need to be knocked down leaving about 30 people out of the job and also there was two big gas tanks behind the chippy which could have blown up and it could have made the fire spread to the petrol pumps. That's how seriously they take it. :DBefore anybody asks ( :D ) , getting expelled was the best thing that ever happened to me so I didn't protest my innocence. I spent my days wandering around an exciting world berift of other children, playing hookey legally. Magic.Sorry, blink, back on track. Andy-2004 Posted March 24, 2004 Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 Extra info: the fire did start in a bin by arsonists but the reason the place went on fire is that IL lit a nearby gas pipe which in effect blew the roof off Arnold's and caused the fires to spread...there is no roof on building 1...very little roof on building 2...the roof on building 3 is intact but the is significant fire and smoke damage to building 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tankus Posted March 24, 2004 Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 I lived over an Italian pitza palace in Colindale (NW London) ..20 years ago ..I would have quite happily done a moon ....It used to stay open until 2am and the smell of garlic literally used to make vomit ......I couldn't touch the stuff for several years ..!Never again .......A surprising amount of peeps are not insured for fire .... It is so destructive, if the flames don't actually do the damage, then the smoke will. Also as far as human suffering is concerned, burns are one of the most horrifyingly painfull things that can happen to you.Trouble is, fire is just so easy to start. andsome Posted March 25, 2004 Report Share Posted March 25, 2004 A couple of years ago some youths set fire to a nearby school at Chase Terrace Staffordshire. It was totally destroyed. Unfortunately no one was ever charged with the offence. The replacement will be ready to open later this year. meantime all the kids have had to have lessons in portacabins. The pupils work was all lost in the fire, just a few weeks before vital exams. My question is, just what punishment would have been meted out if those who did it had been caught? probably a few months away in a holiday camp somewhere, or a trip to Africa.
