artist
I have the tweak - Still can't get the updates to download.Keep on getting a message telling me that 'automatic connection to the internet could not be established.'I am considering removing it and reinstalling.I have tried to get the downloads direct from Grisoft, with no success. The database I have is 28.3.04. It's programmed to update if it's older than two days. :(
djohn
Have a look at the version number artist. If it's AVG 6 then it should be:6.0.651 2/9/2003.Virus update is number 417. 5/4/04I did a fresh install last week and it's still the same. IE: Can take several attempts to download but it will download if you try tree or four time consecutively.Try the .com a couple of times then the CZ site. Also the best time is approx. 4-6am so set your auto update for that time and leave your PC on that night. Also reduce the update time to 1 day.[Edit] 418 just released a short time back.[Edit] 419 has just come through!! Third release today.

bvw
so what was up with the e trust one bvw.Just a bit "clumsy" to use Ellas....... been used to AVG, it's nice and simple to use.E-Trust had quite a bit running in the background as well. I've got the free 1yr use of it on the M$ updates cd, but, again, I like AVG.Nice and easy to use, that's all.

-pops-
When Grisoft first introduced AVG 7 there were rumours that version 6 would no longer be supported after a time sufficient for users to change over. Perhaps this is now taking place.I changed to version 7 when it was first issued because AVG had given me years of good service I felt obliged to offer something back for all their efforts. After I paid the small amount required I found that it covers updates for virtually ever more!
