Agent Smith
Andy, bearing in mind that you have just changed to a new case, may I suggest that you open your machine up and check that ALL the connections are good and secure. (And that includes the motherboard end of the IDE cable). Also, when you moved the devices from the old case, have you altered any positions at all? For example were the Cd and Dvd using the same ide cable in your old case, and are they using the same cable now? Are they connected to the same connectors on the cable as before, or have you swapped them around, in which case you may need to change your master and slave jumpers. In fact are the jumpers set to master and slave, or are one or both on cable select? If so I would set them manually.Check this first, I would be inclined to think that this is something caused by your case swap at the moment.Mr. M.
