They just state that it's cracked, then blindly go off on another topic, about how the new windows update is "cleaner". They could, like all of us, have been using XP without the "advantages" of SP2 for a long time. There is no obligation (yet) to install SP2 so they, like a lot of legitimate users, just won't bother.I know I'm not going to rush out to get and install SP2. But M$ is pushing the sp2 release with new computers very soon.Read the,Changes to Functionality in Windows XP SP2, to get more info on whether or not you want to install it. Chris Posted July 6, 2004 Author Report Share Posted July 6, 2004 MS will use XP SP2 to "relaunch" Windows XP and to regenerate interest...300 million dollars is alot to spend for an "Update Launch".My own personal opinion is that SP2 is a fantastic update for Windows XP. A lot of the update is behind the garden gates aka we won't see it. But what we do see will, well it wont be fantastic but it will make Windows XP a better product.If you have an AMD64 or an Intel Itanium processor then you'll get one more plaything to use.Waiting is the best approach, remember SP1? :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
