It carries over into text... :rolleyes: I got anywhere from 3 to 30 NO, I think in fact it is the Americanism of using the word LIKE every few words in a sentence. "I was quite upset", for some unknown reason becomes, "I was like upset". I just cannot understand what has happened to the language. Even my thirty nine year old daughter who spent several years living in California uses it. Just about all the kids also use like several times in each sentence.
