Rebel=UK=
lets see some pics of where you guys/gals live city (1991 pop. 86,488), South Tyneside, NE England, at the mouth of the Tyne River. It is a significant port. Shipbuilding and marine engineering are the main industries; chemicals and paints are manufactured. Within the vicinity are large parks, and the ruins of a Roman fort rest on Lawe Hill, above the Tyne. South Tyneside College, originally founded as a marine school, is in the city. The first unsinkable, self-righting lifeboat, designed by William Wouldhave, was launched from the city in 1790, the lifeboat was invented in South Shields

expertec
Large parks? I bet they aren't as large as my local park B) (I'll Try and find some pics)Largest of the parks is the vast Sutton Park in the northern suburb of Sutton Coldfield (train from New Street or many buses depending on which bit of the park you want to reach). This is one of the largest urban parks in Europe and is effectively a slice of countryside in itself.

linc
The greatest City in the uk, sh don't tell anybody we want to keep it for ourselves.Artist you reminded me of the following. Being a kind and considerate old soul I recognised that my mate was inneed of a little further education so I decided to take him for a tourof Birmingham.I took him round the city explaining what each building was - and thelocal history attached to them. Eventually we arrived at Victoria Squareand by this time my mates brain was in a right spin,Suddenly he turned to me having seen this large building and said ?Isthat a palace our kid??No? I says ?that?s the Council House".?Bluddy ell? says my mate ?I?ve got me name down for one of them? Here it is.

doug
These are my favourite from 21/9/2002Mind Katherine was due to produce her first, and my second grandchild, on Friday just gone. Tonight she looked enormous and as healthy as a newly minted pound coin. I'm a bit doolalley at the moment so forgive me if I've gone slightly off topic. :D Flowers are still doing well :rolleyes:Just remembered. Have squared up the drain pipe up on the wall above us in the secod pic. Mind even that has been covered up by the clematis and rose. doug
>Artist, there are some wonderful scenes down there in the sunny south. We used to live in Broadstone. Suggestions :- Chapman's Pool (for obvious reasons, Kimmeridge bay but not the oil wells, the river up at Wimbourne, the New Forest. You don't have to think of just the beach at Bornmouth (which is really Poole Bay. where I have spent many idyllic days and nights fishing). :D Now I've even forgotten how to spell Bournmouth.
