moon
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3931023.stmBritish soldiers killed a 26-year-old Iraqi civilian by repeatedly beating him on the neck, chest and genital areas, High Court judges have heard. Baha Mousa was one of six Iraqis whose families are challenging the UK Government's decision not to hold an independent inquiry into their deaths. Fellow hotel worker Kifah Taha al-Mutari said soldiers competed to see who could kick detainees the furthest.I've only seen a little about this on the TV. but even I can see that the Iraqi guy is genuine. The MOD is, apparently, trying to claim that Human Rights don't apply to soldiers serving in Iraq. That's even more disgusting, imo, than the actions of the squaddies. catgate
I can't see what all the fuss is about. After all it's only a war. It's not as though it was serious, otherwise our leaders would have ensured no one got hurt! Wouldn't they?

Period.
moon
If it wasn't for the BBC continuing to harrass the government nobody would know or care. We're becoming numbed to torture and death. Terrorists killed over a hundred Iraqis yesterday and there's not a thread on it anywhere.

linc
I reckon Bush and B'liar would do all right in Iraq.Bush would sell the terroist shares in the oil co's and Haliburton saying.'' come on lads, just see how much money you'll make and how many weapons of WMD you can buy with the profit's''' Thinking tom himself how much more he can make selling them, then fighting them.B'liar, well he would be handing out the share's with a cheesy grin. He's independant is our cheesy, he's tolded us so often.Personally , if he had two brain cells they would be lonely.Try this.http://www.bushorchimp.com/

andsome
She may have gone off her rocker at the end of her time in government, but for the first few years she did a wonderful job. She inherited the king of all messes from Labour.
linc
For anyone who has time to read, have a look at a novel by Julian Critchley, I believe it's called Floating Voter. It's about a Tory Conference in Brighton, supposed to be a murder mystery, but that's dealt with in the last few pages, but it just gives an idea of all the things politians get up to.. Hilarious. especially the ending the starring role going to Mrs T.
