robj
I use NIS and OE6. How do I ensure that a message is added automatically at end of mesage to say that Norton has scanned email and that it is free of viruses etc.I used to have AVG and this message appeared (by default I think)
christmascracker
I dont think you can with Norton, I've used NAV and the option wasn't on there either.
expertec
Is there an option in OE somewhere for signature?
Boris
Yep !
expertec
So.... you could stick something about "Scanned with NAV" in there?
-pops-
Does NIS scan outgoing emails automatically? It would be a bit unfair if you are putting a message on your emails that doesn't correspond to what has actually been done and if NIS does do this, I'm surprised it doesn't put a message on itself - for advertising if nothing else. expertec
Just sent a message from one of my accounts to another, NAV scanned it on the way out but did not add any message.
-pops-
You're sure it was scanned are you?

Chris
NOT all AV's are 100% effective...Having a messge that reads that means nothing to me.
Scarecrow Man
You mean there is no Anti-Virus program that is 100% effective. But anything is better than nothing.
-pops-
Hmm....Very surprised then that it doesn't put a message on the email. Why should it?If nothing more that for advertising. It isn't usual for businesses, especially Norton, to hide their light under a bushel.
andsome
You have the choice in Norton AV. I choose to scan incoming mail only.
