The worst one is where u wake up in the middle of the night or in the mornming turn on the light and see one on the wall beside yuor bed. andsome Posted October 8, 2004 Report Share Posted October 8, 2004 I always keep a half pint mug of water on my bedside table. The first thing that I do every morning is to drink the whole mugful. Why I looked into it one morning I will never know, but luckily I did . There was an incy wincy swimming round inside. Needless to say I now keep a coaster on top of the mug. It is said, that just about everyone swallows several spiders whilst asleep during their lifetime. I wondered what that foul taste was in my mouth a couple of mornings ago. don't ask Posted October 12, 2004 Report Share Posted October 12, 2004 A rather large one lives under the window frame on the outside of our kitchen window - hubby feeds it sometimes by catching bluebottles etc and throwing them on its web - it darts out from under the window ledge, grabs the delicacy in a flash and takes it back to eat.One day recently I was eating a sandwich whilst out on the patio and absent mindedly laid the sandwich down on the window ledge because I was distracted by something for a few seconds - reached out to pick up my sandwich and almost had a fit when I saw hubby's large pet spider sitting on top of it - yeuch!!!! - it still makes me shudder when I think about it!! Its body was exactly the right size and colour. There was a sort of cross of Lorainne marking on its back.I was looking at it near the village pond when a goose came along and ate it.Never seen one like that before. Quite fascinating.
