I am truly surprised at how many have answered yes to this question.  It is extremely difficult to remove tattoos, and a moments madness could cause regret all your life.  No accounting for taste I suppose.

Why suprised? Are you suprised because with this being a computer forum you thought that anyone who shows interest in PCs cannot possibly lower themselves to have a tattoo? Or maybe those who do have tattoos are not intelligent enough to show an interest in computers?

Taste is a personal thing, just because someone has ink, doesn't mean they are any less of a person.

All my life I've had people trying to force their views and opinions on me just because I have some visable tattoos, am I less intelligent because I have them? No. Do I think I look 'hard' because I have them? No.

I'm just a normal guy, who does a normal Job, who pays his bills on time, and work to pay my way. Who just so happens to love tattoos and getting tattoo'd

Just leave the judgemental Discrimination out of it.

Thanks

Damo

Right forearm just under 3" x 3" screaming eagle! 9 years of age when I had it done at "Sailor Jacks" "in Liverpool. Mum was convinced it was one that came off a bubble gum wrapper, the ones you would wet and stick on your arm for a couple of minutes. Didn't regret it then even after mum found out it was a real one! [Ouch!] Still don't. :)

I think people are wrong in accusing me of being judgemental. I merely have an opinion and as such I expressed it. I am still truly surprised at how many answered yes, because it seems out of proportion to the number that I actually see about. I do know people who have regretted the decision to have a tattoo, especially when it is personal to a member of the opposite sex. I had an uncle who for many years avoided close relationships because he has another girls name tattooed on his arm. Enjoy your tattoos, it's something I and a good many others would never consider.

When my eldest lad had a tattoo 5 yrs ago my 1st words to him afterwards were "You must be mad" (maybe a little stronger :P ), it is a step that is difficult to undo, not my sort of thing either, not easy to understand why someone should do it.

But it takes all sorts

He doesn't understand why I enjoy welding, with numerous burn marks on my forearms. Oddly enough some are the size of small tattoos (1p), where spatter has lodged inside my gauntlets.

I still won't have a tattoo tho.
