It is extremely difficult to remove tattoos, and a moments madness could cause regret all your life. No accounting for taste I suppose. I just think that anything so profound as making a permanent change like a tattoo without the deepest thought is a little risky, and moment of madness seems to sum up how a good many tattoos come about. It is interlocking hearts with my children's name in them. I dont regret it and I can tell you with all the confidence that I have that I will never regret that. I agree that getting a tattoo in haste or without full thought is not a smart idea and you can regret it but it is not always the case.
