Chris
A qualified industrial engineer with an IQ of 200, five masters degrees wants a job in the UK after spending two years on the dole in Bulgaria.According to Press Association reports, Daniela Simidchieva is struggling to find gainful employment, even as a cleaning woman, despite being listed by Mensa as the "world's cleverest woman". Her mind boggling IQ is equal to that of Marie Curie, according to reports. She told PA: "I love learning, but I also want to work. In the last 44 years I have studied economics, education and sociology at universities in Bulgaria and Britain. I am qualified as an industrial engineer, as an English teacher and as an electrical engineer as well as having my five Masters degrees."She concludes that in Bulgaria "employers do not want clever employees".Given the skills shortage in the IT sector we all keep hearing so much about, and the need to get more women into science, engineering and IT, we're sure Simidchieva will be able to find a job in Blighty in no time.More | Here

Sir Radfordin
but as they go on to say:"In the interests of fairness, we would like to point out that some people have immensely high IQs, and are very highly qualified, but are also staggeringly bonkers"Which is a statement which is very true. In my experience the more intelligent someone is the less common sense they have and struggle to do day-to-day tasks that most jobs would require. Damo
If she's THAT intelligent why on earth does she want to come to Britain?
andsome
Not true in my case. Not only do I have staggering good looks. I am also extremely intelligent, with a brain the size of a planet, with the body of an Adonis. I am also the most modest person anyone could wish to meet. I am kind to dogs, but not cats. cocoon
Just out of curiosity, why was my last posting deleted? Surely the forum hasn't become that politically correct!
djohn
Sorry for the delay cocoon, I was involved with another thread. I sent you a PM immediately on deleting your post explaining the reason, I think you had logged off by then though.I have also found it necessary to edit a post above. May I take this opportunity to remind members to not wander off topic in a thread, and to keep the language clean without using asterisk for omitted words, and please don't make unfounded or derogatory remarks to a subject.Thank you for your understanding. -pops-
High IQ's show nothing more than ability to pass IQ tests.I am tempted to ask, who sets IQ questions? It must be someone with an astronomically high IQ to be able to organise the questions for the lower orders.
cocoon
Thank you for your understanding.I'm sorry, but I dont understand at all! I pulled a quote from a previous post which asked a question (and has not been deleted), and gave an opinion. How is that wandering off topic? Randy_Bell
I hope she finds a job soon, maybe with a University Lab or something ... befitting her high IQ.
