Damo
Anyone know any programs that will let me create PDF documents?
-pops-
The free office suite, Open Office, claims to create PDF files. There are some freebie things around but I've found them very fiddly to use - a multi-stage procedure. I now use Jaws PDF Creator. Not free but very convenient. Get it from http://www.jawspdf.com/
Chris
http://www.adobe.co.uk/products/acrobatpro/main.html :PThe Open Office way looks interesting.

expertec
That would only be the Adobe Reader, you cannot create PDF documents with it.
Cpt James T. Kirk
but it says on it easily converts doc to pdf docs. when you hit about adobe it says that.
-pops-
but it says on it easily converts doc to pdf docs. when you hit about adobe it says that. Can you give more detail of this? Have you tried to convert a file to PDF this way?I am doubtful that Adobe would give away anything like this for free. Yes, the Adobe reader is free but that is a ploy to get people to use PDF as a "universal" file reading medium but then they charge a kings ransom to be able to write them. However, I am happy to be corrected on this :)

nellie2
With regards to screenshots, you could just use the prtscrn button then paste what you have into paint and save it as a jpeg. But I like to use hoversnap

savak
THere is NO advertising with PrimoPDF. You cannot alter security settings. It will ask you for screen or printer qaulity (i can't see any difference). It then launches Acrobat Reader after creation of the file. A bit of an inconvience if you just want to create a PDF file but what the heck. Works with any applications that prints!Graeme
