djohn Posted March 15, 2005 Report Share Posted March 15, 2005 I suggested and others agreed that it would be better to not have a name at the side of a photo for one reason only. Not because people vote for names, I don't think anyone would do so consciously but it does have an influence, no matter how small.This applies to all competitions not just the photo ones. If the voting is done blind then it has to come out as fair as possible without any bias whatsoever.That is excepting for those who may vote for themselves, but I firmly believe no member of this forum would do that. even if it was the deciding vote. Every time I look at the photo's, I look at the names along side, I can't help it and I can't honestly say if there was a deciding vote needed it would sway me in one direction or the other.I would like to stand up and say "No Way" but I honestly don't know. Just thought that giving them a number or letter code would remove that doubt. However, just out of interest I always looked at the names when looking at the pictures. It was interesting trying to tie up the names with the pictures.
