If you see, in my original post, I'm using the Enlightenment Window Manager, whereas in trackrat's post, he's using KDE ( K Desktop Enviroment ). If I wanted to change my GUI at a whim I could, if I wanted to use: KDE, Gnome, Fluxbox, Enlightenment, Afterstep, all I do is move a hashmark (#) from one line to the other in my X configuration file (~/.xinitrc). It is because of this, the question "Would I be right in thinking that in your screenshot, that's what a Linux desktop looks like?" cannot be fully answered...
