dagwoood
If you're humming and areing about whether to bother going and seeing it, don't. Just go out and see it!!!This film is how the previous two films should have been made. Cracking special effects, that aren't just there for the wow factor, but to also complement the film. The very opening sequence will blow you away. And a strong story line that lets the main characters come to life. "Mannequin" Skywalker doesn't make an appearance in this instalment. This is the true successor to "The Empire Strikes Back". Dark in mood, and to a certain extent, dark in appearance.Brilliant :D :D :D :DFinally, money bags Lucas has got it right.
bvw
Excellent.....thanks dagwood, can't wait to see it :)
CurlyWhirly
Already seen it and it is brill, if you are a Star Wars fan of course. It tied up a few loose ends from previous films and when it is released on DVD, I will buy it and then have the complete series on DVD. I read somewhere that originally George Lucas planned on making 9 films but had to settle for 6 as he would be dead by the time they were all made  It's a shame that the other 3 have been abandoned but you can hardly blame him as it has taken 28 years to do 6 films! dagwoood
Don't know whether you know this CW, but Lucas plans on digitaly converting the first 3 films(episodes IV to VI)so as they can be shown in 3D. On reflection, Revenge of the Sith was shot in way that lends itself to looking great in 3D. Perhaps clutching at straws here :)Back to episode III. I noticed 1 continuity error:In the Jedi temple, Obi-wan and Yoda start referring to Darth Sidious as the Emperor, when, as far as they knew, he was still the Chancellor. It was while they were in the temple that Darth Sidious announced to the Senate the formation of a galactic empire. Obi-wan and Yoda wouldn't have known of this.Perhaps some more will come to light.Did you also see the Millenium Falcon? It was on screen briefly at the space port on Coruscant. CurlyWhirly
dagwooodNo I didn't know that George Lucas was planning to digitally convert the first 3 films to 3D! Cheers for that.Well spotted with the continuity error and no I didn't glimpse the Millenium Falcon but I will have another chance to see it when it is released on DVD

After watching 3, I watched 4,5,6 and I finally feel as though I know the whole story. I'll admit, 4 is old crappy effects, but a good movie. 5 had better effects and was a better movie, 6 was a bit too much, but still very good and kept the story in line, 1 was awesome effects and made me confused about the story. 2 was good effects again, but a bit too childish? (I hate Jar Jar Binx SO MUCH!) and now 3 completes the story, makes 1,2 and 4,5,6 flow together so seemlessly I thought it was just great.I already knew what the basic plot was before seeing it and that may have been the downfall of the movie for some people. You expeted something so great, but it never happened as you thought
