No matter how good the current Time and/or Tiny machines may be, both companies gained a reputation of producing tat in their previous incarnations and, like the saying goes, mud sticks.I'm no great business person but, to my mind Granville Technologies would have been far better of introducing a new name on to the scene when they rescued the failed T & T names and used the existing premises for production Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I do remember the last PCA magazine i bought about 18 months ago, every other page was an ad for Tiny.Only last month in PC Format i saw an ad which i was interested, £500 for a Tiny laptop with a very high spec.Luckily i didnt purchase it, as i have just visited the Tiny website and see it is no more. cd108 Posted August 6, 2005 Report Share Posted August 6, 2005 Muggins here paid £1300 for a 42 plasma TV with a DVD rewriter,stand,surround and a few other bits. Delivery was delayed and delayed. Then while im in kenya on holiday the swines go bust. The main problem with tiny it has to be said is that although they do produce high spec systems at low prices they never deliver on time or in good working order. I bought a lap top off them a few months ago and that had to be returned no less than 3 times before I got one in good working order. -pops- Posted August 7, 2005 Report Share Posted August 7, 2005 I was asked to look at a faulty Tiny computer some time ago - from their previous incarnation.I opened the case, looked at what was inside it, closed the case and told the owner that I would rather not do anything with it.The inside was a rats nest of wires, cheap (=tatty) components and overall poor quality. The M/B was a brand I'd never heard of and the hard drive (held in place with one screw) had no ID at all, not even an indication of the jumper configuration.
