ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I will be on vacation to Europe (well, not really: Switzerland), Thailand, and Viet Nam. I will try to avoid being near computers as much as possible, so my rotating red avatar will be rare here for the next three weeks. For those of you who stay - enjoy the stay! :P

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Thanks! (Except for the hours and hours and hours of flying; this is not my favourite part. But I will be reading Jeffrey Steingarten's It Must've Been Something I Ate during the flight, so it will at least partially be enjoyable). Weather is great, but everyone has to walk on water.I'll try to upload some pictures later...But everyone seems to have fun here :) More in a few days... expertec
I've seen that on the TV here in the UK... never though of Switzerland as very susceptible to flooding!
andsome
Some of the small villages look to be totally wrecked. Thick mud up to the first floor windows.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
The rest of the trip went just fine, and I had a couple of very nice days (and very good food) in Hue, Viet Nam. In Bangkok I visited Sirocco, which is definitely the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been to!Back in Tokyo I was greeted by a passing typhoon. Not too severe, but still... the restaurant I wanted to visit that evening was closed - because it was flooded.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
VN is a great country, wonderful people, and one of the best and healthiest foods in the world. I do not care very much for Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), but it can be good if you have some friends there.I will certainly return some day, but my next plan is Cambodia, where I've never managed to go. If I remember correctly, your son has been there too.

Tankus
Back ....chilled and grilled my freckles have all joined together to form a tan ...of sorts ...... If you like beer, beaches, and sun ...Majorcas ok ...and its very laid back ....But if your a culture vulture ..Youll be better off in Spain.. Its not as built up as the Costa's ....... but there is also a distinct lack of (preserved)history there too ...Wall to wall Germans ....very friendly locals ..who all seem to speak a minimum of 3 languages ......and it smells of boiled cabbage ....hah .....back in the old smoke .........and then back to work tomorrow ..... not good
