catgate
Since the sagacity and wisdom of Anne Ower was revealed, by her latest pronouncement on the wearing of nationalistic emblems likely to inflame the negative passions of passing observers, I have been grapling with a few problem:-1) How can a person with this sort of warped mentation be allowed to walk the streets unaccompanied?2) How is it that she has not been sectioned under the mental health act?3) If this is typical of the demented outpourings of the woman, why is she still "in office"?4) Why was she put into this position in the first place, and by whom?5) Is there any more tea in that pot? -pops-
What does she have to say about that international organisation of compassion, health and welfare of ALL for the human race, the RED CROSS? Is their symbol a sign of racism and nationalism? It is worrying, though, that it is not only she that directs their energies into such misguided misinterpretations. Thos
Who is she? I don't know the nameAnne Ower, chief inspector of prisons. If that's the case what is it to do with her what people wear? She complained because her inspectors found that certain prison officers had the cross of St. George pin on their lapels. They said prisoners could construe this as racist. Hence catgate's and pop's righteous anger. (catgate's fifth point made me laugh)Thos. :)
-pops-
I have quite often worn a cross of St George on my lapel. Usually it is a cardboard cutout but before these came on the scene, it was a paper flag stuck on a pin. I buy these to support the Red Cross - organisation I mentioned earlier. I have also been known to buy similar items in the shape of the cross of St John - in support of an organisation similar to the Red Cross but smaller. I wonder what this silly woman would think of that?
andsome
Maybe she should go to prison.
catgate
To whom does this silly woman answer. Is it our lovable leader, Noddy, or possibly Noddy's friend Big Ears. There is little wonder that the place is in a mess with creatures such as this "in charge". There's no wonder that no one seems worried about going to prison any more. Proper toilets instead of slopping out. Sheets on the bed. Better food than a lot of poor folk can afford. Some seem to prefer it to the outside. They MUST do, otherwise why do they keep trying to get back in. She should be in there waiting on them.
