URL link button no longer works

Recommended Posts

When I tried out and rejected Firefox, and uninstalled it, I could no longer access links. I had to go into Internet Options and click to make IE the default browser. Is it possible that you do not have one or the other listed as default?

Maybe I didn't describe the problem correctly. What I mean is "When posting to this forum, using the full posting form, then the URL link button does no longer work."

Above the text input form there are these various formatting buttons - bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, colour, and next the URL button to insert a link. It worked earlier this week, but it no longer works today.

But yes, I did install Firefox 1.5RC1 today, then uninstalled it and installed 1.0.7 again. Could that be related? I will try your advice on Monday; I'm done for today.

Have a good weekend, everyone!

I can say that I'm also having the same problem with Opera, IE and Firefox.

more than likely this is associated with the recent borad upgrade to 2.1.3

Looks like there is a new problem with every forum software upgrade. Just tested it at home on Windows 2000, where I did not uninstall or install anything recently. Same problem.

Could be something with the Rich Text vs Standard posting mode?

Do you mean Quick Reply vs. New Reply mode? There are no buttons at all in the Quick Reply form.

You are asking for trouble. You may look cute and cuddly, but I am wondering what a Teddy Bear would look like with a black eye.

Just tested it over at the Neodigital forum; no problem there. Either that software is older, or it is a problem specific to this forum. (Also there is no mention of such a failure anywhere at the Invision fora).

Yes, they are both running the same version...

Seems specific to this site. :ranting:
