TERBOW
I heard something on my local radio and thought this might be an interesting topic as well as letting you let off steam.about those things on TV or radio that get right up your nose :offtopic: I Think that the stupid canned cheers and applause when the national lottery numbers are drawn, really are the pits, those people in the so called audience must win fortunes every week, because they seem to indicate that they have every number. peter e
I get pigged off with so-called celebrities, whose only talent is for self-publicity (leave the beggars in the jungle, I say). I get pigged off with interviewers who continually let politicians (yuk! spit!) off the hook because they haven't done their homework and fail to ask the right questions. I get pigged off with trivial news stories (Maddona broke a finger nail today) when there is more important news to report. I get pigged off with repeated programmes which were crud the first time round. I get pigged off with soaps and their talentless actors who think they are sooooooo important. Generally, I suppose TV pigs me off altogether (except for that nice Alan Titchmarsh and especially his sidekick, Charlie  ).Pete

Usually over loud 'POP'. What is more annoying than loud pop on a gardening programme, or even worse a whinging squeaky voiced female pop artist.Clever d*** camera tricks on TV programmes. we have all seen speeded up walking, tilting camera, camera jerking and out a high speed etc. It's been done to death.Children that have been brought up having never heard the word 'NO'Smoking in pubs and restaurants.Idiots driving at speed through housing estates, not caring about young children who may run out.Politicians who run local councils as little tin pot dictatorships.I will probably think of a few more. Guest Nellie2
Ok andsome.............. I'm off to find my calculator and slide rule so I can pretend to be intelligent!!! :P Oh......... another thing I don't like is management who bring in new practices......promise loads of money and more staff to get it up and running.......don't do their homework as far as implementation goes......don't listen to the staff who deal with stuff every day so they know what they are talking about......... then, when it all goes pear shaped because the resources weren't provided in the first place, go off their trolley and blame everyone but themselves!!!!yeah I know it has nothing to do with TV or radio but it still naffs me off! andsome
I said that I may think of more. The pay of SO CALLED captains of industry. Followed by millions of pounds compensation when they are sacked for incompetence. The extremely gross pay for many footballers, combined with silly prices to get into a match, and clubs going bankrupt, because of the high players payThe silly sentencing of many criminals in this country, which means in many instances that murderers, rapists, child abusers etc, are free to carry on with a normal life after a few short years in a prison cell, with TV, sports and other luxuries provided. ranger
The "in" words/sentences that management sport now and again because they've heard it from some other management a****** at some course they have been on and think it sounds cool/important, ie: does it wash it's own face (does it break even/make a profit) i'm taking a helicopter view of it (overall view) Don't they realise they just look like twats and the staff are P***** themselves laughing at them when they use them, why don't they just say what they mean instead of this type of twaddle

andsome
andsome it might of been easier to name what you do like. The question did concern dislikes. I think that given time to think about it most people could come up with a long list, I do have that time.It is possible that you do like some of the things that I have listed, that is your freedom of choice. Some people do like noisy pop everywhere they go, but perhaps they would complain if a Mahler symphony was blasting out from loud speakers everywhere they went.Doubtless a lot of people would complain if soaps were taken off TV.Maybe you approve of massive payouts to so called captains of industry etc. etc.I have merely answered the question to the best of my ability.
