This could be a stumbling block as people who live out of town are stuck with suppliers such as Q8, Rex, and others but not major oil companies like Shell, BP or Esso. I know it's early days for this sort of scheme and I can see the momentum they are trying to build, but a lot of people will not bother unless it takes into consideration the little garage on the corner of their village. He says he sells so little that he has to pay over the odds to get them to deliver to him. Just who keeps him going beats me, since only 3 miles further there are two bigger service stations selling at 99p, which is still extortionate.This scheme sounds as though it might be worthwhile, on the face of it. Our local garage is Q8 and charges 101.9 ppl. No one does a serious shop localy as the prices are a bit on the steep side, even at the Coop. Everyone I know goes to Berwick upon Tweed for there shopping it is about 13 miles away but well worth the petrol to get there and back. The Shell station there is only 84.9 ppl while the Deisel is around the 89.9 ppl.Several similar schemes have been tried in the States..............none of them worked. :unknw: But good luck anyway. :rolleyes:Morning Deuces. Yep I know about the schemes that have been tried in the USA as I have several friends there as you may know. It's a pure numbers game, unity is strength and all that, but at the end of the day it's the Government that has to listen and they don't bother.
