deuces wild
It was a rhetorical question. That's a big word for a small American. :D Not at all. Do the English have a similar word with their version of *OUR* language?

r4may
andsome :: Like them of course, but no grovelling.Never grovell, just like to see them happy :flowers: Did giving her romantic cards and jewelry on Valentines Day ensure a marriage of 55 years Thos? ;) :DNo. We have never exchanged gifts or cards, except for Birthdays and Christmas and even on those occasions nowadays we tend to give each other things like extras on holidays---upgrades in hotels or flights and so on. If I felt that Barbara would want something, I would get it (if affordable) and not wait for an occasion. And I know she does the same for me.At our age, we have most material things we would want.Thos.EDIT: after seeing your subsequent post I should say I thought your question was literal, hence my rambling on, which I do tend to do!Same here, and my wife's name is Barbara so we must be lucky, but we have some time before we catch up with you we've only been married 41 years. :wub:EDIT: she does like the occasional unexpected bunch of flowers though. Gandalph
I can brag of 38 years coming up on June 1st. We never give each other Valentines cards, no need to, I think 38 years says it all anyway.
