deuces wild
I do not think that the other forum members considered your comments about the Chirchill/Hitler conspiracy to be a Belly buster.Quite frankly, I could care less. ;) If you want to see Armageddon (and it could soon heading to that) then keep sitting on your hands and appease those whose only purpose is it kill you, your familyand just how many times did the US nearly take us to it ...during the cold war ...?Yep, and it was because of our actions the the Soviet empire crashed. Well that just about sums up your opinion, :D Oh and btw you lot did it on your own Don't think so :) It is not an *opinion* Lester. It is a fact. ;) Edit: Read this at your leisure Lester: http://www.cnn.tv/2004/WORLD/europe/06/06/...reax/index.htmlThere is much more on the net if you are interested. :)
lester1
It is in deed a fact that the US had more money to spend in the paranoia cold war, and you did contribute to a larger extent to countering the soviet threat. But this effort was fueled by your insecurity about the Soviet block and it's threat to your country not any ones Else's. :) Don't get superior when you comment about other countries and their contributions.Your Save the world position was focused on Your country and was concerned with its own well being not anyone Else's.BTW Kennedy would in my opionion be a better example than Regan :D

And that is the undisputed truth. Your leaders agree with that, as does Gorbachev and most of the World.Yep, we had the money and we made them spend themselves into oblivion. Reagan was quite a smart fellow. ;)

Belatucadrus
A 'B' movie actor. :DA claim often made by his detractors, but never entirely fair. Reagan, a product of the studio system undoubtedly appeared in his fair share of clunkers, Bedtime for Bonzo being the most often quoted. But he still managed to be a fairly good actor and as president of the Screen Actors Guild stood up to McCarthy in a time when somebody of his conservative leanings would probably be expected to cave in. Reagan is another of those world leaders who stuck around too long, during his last term no matter what he may have said, old age and the affects the assassination attempt on his health, had very adverse affects on his abilities. Will history be kind to Ronnie ? compare him with the competition :- Ford, Carter, Nixon, Bush 1, the highly over rated Kennedy. Put the dubious logic of Reaganomics aside and Reagan has a fair claim to being one of the best presidents of the twentieth century and only really has to give way to FDR on the quality stakes.Filmography

As a president, he believed in things quite opposite to my leanings, but he was strong and led from the front. He was also human and his habit of nodding off at meetings was quite endearing. He had an ear for a telling phrase and his valedictory for the dreadful loss of the Challenger crew was supreme.Thos.

However it is not a rain cloud, but a black cloud of increasing idiocy and opression generated by political and religious egocentric lunatics and their sycophantic supporters. Belatucadrus
Methinks this thread is dead, bereft of point it burbles along on a diet of innuendo and barely veiled insult.
