nellie2
Thanks for that Chris..., it's a bit worrying that hijackthis can't access the hosts file though, the log looks more or less complete to me, can I assume that as this is a fresh install that this dll is a microsoft one?napinsp.dll
Chris
No I bombarded it with my application installs.I think it's actually positive that it can't access the hosts file...shows Vista is preventing access.EDIT: Check my topic on CT alan has the same file.... lizard7151971
Well done Chris :)How are you liking it?Was reading through the post. Well. I have had Vista for about a month now, just siting on the HD since I don't have a DVD burner. But I found a simulator, and installed VISTA last night. This morning, I got up, and configured everything ( Since I ran the DVD simulator, it seemed to take longer then some I have read {5 hours}). But since I have got evernthing going, VISTA is very well orginized. It will take a bit to get used to, from what I seen so far. Everything seems to be in tab simular to IE 7.0. Even in the START menu "My Computer" now name "Computer". However I have only been running it one day, and most of that has been doing the updates.. It does have it's bugs, I see quite a few with software combat's. But most software I have ran, works the same as XP. The only thing I question about Microsoft is, why the OneCare don't work With VISTA. They say support is coming for VISTA, but DUHHHHH, you would think they would have planned for this. Now Defender works with VISTA, ONLY if it is downloaded WITH VISTA. If you have it installed already, uninstall it prior to install. It will be installed. I know most are saying we are brave for intalling this Beta, but hay, I like a chalange, and I am a racer, so I take challanges..:) LOL
artist
Really interesting. Like Boris, it will be some time before I have Vista - We'll all need a refresher course then. Looking forward to it though - :)edit although it said the images had been scaled down to fit my screen - they wouldn't open? :(

bartle
You can use magiciso instead of winiso on windows vista. It works without any problem.http://www.magiciso.com/
