-pops-
There are a number of threads either running at the moment or recently ended which would have been completely unnecessary if the originator had made a backup of their computer.I appreciate that, as regulars here will know, I am always going on about backups but, unfortunately, the message seems constantly to be heard by deaf ears or seen through blind eyes.I doesn't take much effort or expense to make a backup of your system and, if you use the in-built Windows Backup, need not cost you any money at all. Please, everyone, seriously consider making a full backup of your system. Don't think "it won't happen to me" because it will, one day, and you will live in regret for a long time afterwards. There is plenty of information on this forum and elsewhere about backing up so don't just sit there thinking about it DO IT. artist
And another basic thing - You may have a spy checker - anti virus checker etc - but if the computer isn't on it won't run automatically.A friend at the weekend informed me that she thought the progs would just run on their own because they are set on automatic. :)

If the computer ain't switched on - it won't play........So it don`t need a spy checker checking :) Your blonde friend thought that the programs run all the time, but the only time they can be seen is when her monitor is on, right ?
